Christmas House Tour || Blogmas #12
Merry Christmas Eve, eve! For today I thought I would give a basic Christmas house tour, to show how my family has decorated the house. Every year we pretty much decorate in the same basic style. My mom and I do add and make ornaments most years for our main tree though. I actually learned to sew one December when I was 5 years old. My mom was making a new Christmas ornament (Folky felt cats), and I wanted to help, lol.
Our living room, table top tree has probably had the most changes in style throughout the years. A few of the styles I can remember are: glass ball ornaments, vintage, woodland, blue and silver, and gold. It actually started out as “my tree” when I was little. I’m not sure exactly how old I was when my parents started the tradition, but I’m assuming I was about 4 years old. I’ve always thought that it’s super cute to have small trees in the house, and it’s probably because of this. The table top tree would usually sit in a corner of the living room. Now it sits on an antique desk next to my keyboard (which I sadly haven’t played in a LONG time).
The living room table top has now become another family tree, because for about the last five years I have had a little, live tree in my bedroom. Its’ theme has pretty much stayed pink, silver and gold. It has both new and vintage ornaments on it. Aside from my tree, I don’t decorate my room too much.
The tree looks kind of big here, but it’s no more than probably two and a half feet tall.
This little vintage angel light sat on top of the entertainment unit in the living room once upon a time, and at some point it found its way into my room.
This nativity is about five inches tall and made from olive wood. I love how simple it is! And yes, that is a vintage Lucille Ball poster behind it lol.

My brother enjoys decorating his room. This year, he has different garlands around the room, a wreath on his door, two nativities, and a mini Hallmark fake tree. He has the cutest little miniature ornaments on his tree!!

This year we added a mini silver, tinsel tree to the kitchen table. At first I wasn’t sure what to think of it, but I’ve grown to like it. It looks pretty with the poinsettias. I tried to take some photos of the poinsettias, but between the lighting and their bright redness, the photos refused to come out right.

This is actually a painting I did in an art class. I think it’s about 4′ by 3′. I love these topiataries!! The fruit attached to it all have a “sugar” texture and sparkle in the light.
